How we're paid, and why it doesn't bias us
Planning a trip with Kerala Escapes is free — travellers don't pay us a planning fee. We're paid by the properties and operators we book, through commissions or trade rates we've negotiated with them. We're upfront about this because the important part is what it does not change: the commission we earn never decides which property we put in front of you. We shortlist for fit — your dates, group, budget and travel style — and we're always happy to explain why we recommended a particular stay.
Ratings and review data
Where Google Maps ratings and review counts are displayed on this site, they are sourced from Google and are shown with explicit attribution (e.g. "4.6 on Google · 312 reviews"). This data is used as a reference signal, not as our own assessment. We do not emit third-party ratings as aggregateRating structured data, in compliance with Google's guidelines on schema markup.
Our own first-party guest reviews — collected from clients after their trips — will be published on the /reviews page and may be marked up as Review schema in a future phase.
Verified-inventory gate
Hotel pages are not published (and are not indexed by search engines) until they have passed our internal verification checklist: direct relationship confirmed, real photos with rights confirmed, and a genuine agent note written. Scraped or unverified data stays in our back-end research list only.
Content accuracy
Hotel descriptions, rates, amenities and availability change. We update listings as we learn of changes through our partner relationships. Rates quoted on this site are indicative — actual rates for your exact dates and room category are confirmed at the time of enquiry.
Corrections
If you spot an error — a factual mistake, an outdated rate, a property that has closed or changed significantly — please tell us via hello@keralaescapes.com or WhatsApp. We correct material errors promptly.
